If you know someone with a big day coming up (a milestone birthday, anniversary, retirement, or new baby maybe?) and you want to celebrate but they don't want a party, then a card shower might be the perfect solution.With a card shower, you simply send out a notice to friends and family that a big day is coming up and ask them to send a card to celebrate. Instead of a party invitation, it's an invitation to be included in making someone's day extra special and meaningful without all the fuss. Include the recipient's address and a send-by date and you are basically done!
This is such an easy way to make any occasion a super special one. Plus, all those cards and notes that were received make keepsakes better than any gifts.It's a win-win for anyone not able to throw a party.
Or hey, do a party and a card shower. My grandparents had a card shower and a huge party for their 50th anniversary. We turned all the cards we received into a giant scrapbook and it turned out beautiful.
